History:
Sowjanya Constructions is a major construction company in the real estate industry of Tamil Nadu. Headquartered in the state capital city of Chennai, the firm was formed in 1997 by Mr. Shankar V. Being a chemical engineer by profession and possessing a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from BITS Pilani, he worked for over six years in a chemical process enterprise. Witnessing the tremendous scope for real estate market in Velachery and hailing from the same place, Mr. Shankar decided to float his own organization. In the last six years, he has executed 27 ventures enclosing an area of about 7000 to 7500 sq. ft. He has also developed an area of over 100,000 sq. ft in business as well as housing schemes, the 90% of whose contribution arrived through the creation of dwellings. This has facilitated the builder to accomplish structures totaling up to a whopping Rs. 20 crores so far.
